So readers, get those questions ready. Now, let’s get chatting!

Michelle Lauren: Welcome to my blog Natasha. Please tell us about your latest book.
Natasha Moore: Thanks, Michelle, for inviting me to be your guest today. My newest release is an erotic romance from eRed Sage titled, The Better to Eat You With. It’s a twisted take on the Red Riding Hood story. Here’s a short blurb:
Did Red Riding Hood get the story wrong when she said her grandmother had been eaten by a wolf?
When Nicholas Wolfe surprises Elise at her lonely house in the forest, she decides to use him for sex like he did with her before he left years ago. They didn’t want the same things from life back then, but Wolfe is back to convince Elise to give him another chance.

Michelle Lauren: How did you come up with the concept behind this book/series?
Natasha Moore: When one of the Red Sage editors announced they were interested in unique takes on familiar myths/fairy tales/classics, I tossed around a lot of ideas. Red Riding Hood is as familiar as you can get and I was going to dismiss it as being done to death.
But then the phrase, “The better to eat you with, my dear” popped into my head and I heard a sexy, wolfish voice speak those words in an entirely different connotation than I’d ever heard it before. And as a writer of erotic romance, an entirely different story began to run through my head. It’s a reunion story (a favorite of mine) and I had a lot of fun writing it.

Michelle Lauren: Is the book a series or stand alone?
Natasha Moore: The Better to Eat You With is a stand-alone story.

Michelle Lauren: Please share a book snippet.
His gaze swept over her and she could almost feel it, like fingers trailing across her skin. “You’re even more beautiful now than you were then.”
She didn’t want to hear those words anymore. Didn’t want anything to weaken her resolve. She dropped the shirt to the ground and smiled slightly, slyly. “You always were a charming animal.” She reached out her hand to him. “Come to my bed, Wolfe.”
He caught her gaze, held it, as if he was trying to read her mind. Elise thought she could almost read his mind, read the need burning there. He dove his fingers into her thick hair and grasped the back of her head, all the while studying her still. Silently. Intensely. She shivered, pinned beneath his gaze.
Then he crushed his lips to hers, demanding, claiming. She clutched his shirt and whimpered. Such a weak, foolish response. She tried to pull away, but he growled deep in his throat and changed the angle of his mouth, his lips moving roughly against hers, demanding her surrender. She melted against him then, opened to him, even though she knew she shouldn’t give him the satisfaction. She simply had no choice. He nipped at her bottom lip, then abruptly released her, leaving her dazed and needy.
Without a word, he stood and pulled her to her feet. He kept his hold on her hand and they crossed the yard together and walked into her house.
His gaze bore into her back as she turned and shut the door behind her, hotter than the sun had ever been. Before the click of the latch had even registered, he’d grabbed her by the shoulders and whirled her around to face him. His breathing was as rough as hers. Was his heart pounding as hard as hers too?
“Wolfe,” she breathed and stepped into his arms.

Michelle Lauren: If you could shape shift into any creature, what would you choose & why?
Natasha Moore: I’d love to be a bird, a hawk or an eagle maybe. I’d love to be able to soar through the sky. What a sense of freedom that must be.

Michelle Lauren: If you could be one of your characters for a day, who would it be & why?
Natasha Moore: Probably Miranda, from Quinn’s Curse (available from eRed Sage) She runs a B&B on the coast of Maine (I love the ocean!), owns a haunted lighthouse (Ditto on lighthouses!), and is made love to by the invisible ghost of a cursed pirate. (Sexy pirate, yum!)

Michelle Lauren: If you had to choose one of your books to turn into a movie, what would it be and why?
Natasha Moore: The Ride of Her Life, my first contemporary romance from Samhain. After receiving a devastating diagnosis, Sarah talks her teenage crush, Dean, into taking her cross-country on his Harley, thinking it’s her only chance for adventure. I love road trip movies and who can beat the story of a good girl taking off with the bad boy on his motorcycle, looking for adventure?

Michelle Lauren: What’s next for you project-wise?
Natasha Moore: I’m just finishing up a series of erotic shorts for Red Sage, four stories where the characters get to live out their fantasies at a place called Paolo’s Playhouse.

Michelle Lauren: Where can readers find you?

Hey Natasha,
I’m definitely looking forward to reading your book…I love reading different interpretation of classic fairy tales…just adds a completely different element to the story.
My absolute all-time favourite fairy tale is Beauty and the Beast. I can’t get enough of that story.
Happy Reading

Hi Natasha, love the sounds of this and I have to say my fav
fairy tale Is Beauty and The Beast. Which is probably why I love shifter stories.
The Better to Eat You sounds like a good book. It’s interesting that you used Little Red Riding Hood. My favorite is Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
hi natasha,
fairy tales are definitely something close to my heart (it was my topic for my undergraduate thesis). and i’m definitely a fan of fairy tale remixs done well. i absolutely love the concept of your book and can’t wait to read it!
coincidently enough, my favorite fairy tale is probably little red riding hood. (i also love alice in wonderland but that’s not exactly a fairy tale). for some reason i’ve always been attracted to l.r.r.h.’s storyline and since becoming a fan of romance novels i couldn’t help but to re-imagine that line “the better to eat you with, my dear”!
so kudoos for puttin’ your own unique spin on it and i’ll definitely be checking out the rest of your work. and thanx michelle for this interview.

My favorite is Beauty and the Beast too. I love those scarred, tortured heroes….
Since I love shifter stories, Beauty and the Beast is one of my top favorites, too. Sleeping Beauty would be next on my fav list.
Yay! I’ve escaped from the dreaded day job!!
Anna, I think it’s fun to read different takes on the classic stories…even more fun to write them
Maggie, I hear you on the shifter stories. Beauty and the Beast has to be the classic shifter story
Andrea, as an erotic romance writer – Goldiocks and the 3 bears calls forth all sorts of ideas as well
Maya, how cool to be able to study fairy tales for your studies! I would have loved that.
Ooh, Eva, tortured heroes are my favorite too
Cathy, I bet the Sleeping Beauty story gets a lot more interesting after that kiss from the Prince
OK, so I have a question for all of you lovers of the Beauty and the Beast story. Don’t you think that’s been done to death??? What kind of twists could you imagine the story taking? I’d love to write one that was a little bit different
I love your take on Red Riding Hood, what an amazing idea.
One of my favorite fairy tales is Hansel & Gretel.
Thank you for sharing with us. T.
My favorite fairy tale is definitely Beauty and the Beast. The concept of heroic sacrifice is just a real heart-tugger for me! I love retold and tweaked fairy tales — your story sounds awesomely intriguing, Natasha!
LOL! What a fabulous idea! You had me at “The better to eat you with, my dear”! Love it.
My favorite fairy tale? Hmm. When I was about 3, I used to go around repeating passages from Goldilocks & the 3 Bears. I’ve heard the audio proof!
Thanks, T. Hmm, Hansel and Gretel. I haven’t thought about that fairy tale in a long time.
Hi Sela! Thanks for stopping by!
LOL Dalton. Maybe you should tell your own remake of the Goldilocks story
Hi Natasha,

Favorite fairy tale…Beauty and the Beast
Hi Natasha,
I can’t wait to read your book, I love fresh takes on fairy tales.
Minx
Fairy tales remixes are some of my fave stories to read. I love Beauty & the Beast, mostly because I’m a sucker for a tortured hero — more specifically, an anti-hero and Beast is certainly that.
Now for the giveaway winner. Congratulations to…
Maya Wilder! Maya, Natasha will be contacting you soon to claim your prize.
Thanks to everyone who participated. Don’t forget: November is FULL of chances to win great prizes, so make sure to stop by every Tuesday & Thursday for new giveaways.
